and talking with my friend Yannick, I'm having second thoughts. I see many compelling reasons to vote for Edwards tomorrow. Still, a bit conflicted, I will sleep on it.

Hi, Kelsi. This is John Edwards. I really appreciate all energy and effort you've brought to my campaign for the presidency, and I too am disheartened that more Americans did not see things the way you and I do.It's an honor that you are still considering voting for me in the California primary, but by now I think you know as well as I do that America is at a crucial crossroads. While neither candidate remaining the race for the Democratic nomination may be your ideal, there is undeniably one who you and I would much rather see leading this nation than the other. In this razor close California primary where each and every last vote matters, I urge you give this matter the utmost consideration and then do what you believe will bring about the best results for all Americans. My fondest regards,John R. Edwards

Kelsi, this is Hillary. As a fellow member of my gender, it is your moral obligation to support my campaign to become the first woman president. It does not matter I am a cold, calculating politician who will take any position or adopt any campaign tactic that serves to get me elected. It doesn't matter that the only reason I am considered a serious contender for the presidency is that I am the spouse of a former popular president. You are a woman, and I am a woman, ergo you must vote for me.Besides, who else are you going to vote for, Barack Obama? You know who votes for Barack Obama? Black people, that's who. Because they are black and he is black, and it is their moral obligation to vote for him, just as it is your moral obligation to vote for me. This primary race is coming down to one question: are there more black people in this country or more women? I think we all know the answer to that question, and it's time for America to stand up and acknowledge it.Oh, what's that? You're going to make a statement by voting for John Edwards? Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! Please do! Every symbolic vote for Edwards is one less vote for Obama. And every lost vote for Obama is as good as a vote for me, each one bringing my victory in California that much closer to reality, and propelling me to the Democratic nomination!Thank you, Kelsi. For all your support.Sincerely,Hillary Clinton

OK, OK, I know this is a long shot, but as long as you're considering casting your vote for someone with no actual chance of winning, would you consider voting for me, Mike Gravel? If it means anything to you, I am now technically the only progressive liberal still officially in the race.Remember: a vote for Mike Gravel is a vote in favor of direct democracy. Thanks for your attention. Sorry to bother you.Humbly,Mike Gravel

Shut up, Maurice!Oh, what the hell. Go ahead and vote for Gravel. A vote for Gravel is a vote for Clinton. A vote for Edwards is a vote for Clinton. And soon enough, after Obama loses on Super Tuesday, a vote for anyone will be a vote for Clinton.BWA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAA!Clinton 2008. It's unavoidable.Your Democratic candidate (whether you like it or not),Hillary Clinton
